Critic ‘kritik/ n. 1. A person who judges the merits of literary or artistic works, especially one who does so professionally.

This is what I do, I critique and write about things professionally, specifically films, video games, and other pop culture related things such as graphic novels and the occasional album.

I fell in love with cinema from an early age, ever since sitting in front of my parent’s television watching Mary Poppins. My very favourite films tend to lean more towards the horror genre; films such as Ridley Scott’s Alien, John Carpenter’s The Thing, William Friedkin’s The Exorcist and Guillermo Del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth are the first that come to mind. However, I like to watch a wide range of different genres in order to expand my film knowledge.

I am the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the pop culture website Small Screen, which gets over one million monthly visitors. I host my own film and TV podcast called Small Screen Stories as well as Small Screen’s videos and lives on our YouTube channel.

I've worked as a Deputy Editor-in-Chief at melty where I wrote articles and edited and hosted videos on cinema and TV, all things geared towards 'youth culture'.

As well as working on and writing for melty and Small Screen I have also written for a variety of online publications such as ShortList, Taste of Cinema, Digital Spy and Empire Magazine.

I’ve also worked as a TV Reporter at The Daily Express and The Mirror Online.
